The dark spots you see in the larvae is their poo poo.
To purge them you have to dunk them in boiling water using a cheese cloth while they are still alive.

@franalam lol - we call her cute at home. This girl telling me this was from Laos - northeast Thailand area - and they're really hardcore about superstitions.

@franalam Don't say that! Thai superstition says you have to call the baby ugly so she gets cute later... weird huh? I did it yesterday at the temple and my friend insisted I not say naaa laaak. She wanted me to say Na Chang!
