Talk-the-Talk, Walk-the-Walkathon 2009

The Third Annual Talk-the-Talk, Walk-the-Walkathon to benefit the Galen Foundation and beating-myeloma.org was held on June 13th, 2009 at University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. The event was a great success thanks to a strong showing from a dedicated group of Galen Foundation supporters including the Board of directors, family, friends, and corporate sponsors.

The walkathon raised over $22,000 to support the Galen Foundation and beating-myeloma.org, a 50% increase from last years tttwtwalkathon! There was also a significant increase in participation, from 26 walkers last year to 56 this year. This year's event included new activities for kids including tie-dying of Talk-the-Talk, Walk-the-Walkathon t-shirts, capture the flag, and an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament for teams from Shaker Heights, Hawken, Laurel and Orange high schools.
