James Toney talked up and just about sold this fight almost by himself. He knew he wasn't going to win. The guy probably laughed all the way to the bank.

Why can i not go on a UFC video without seeing two people in a pointless argument that will prove nothing?, if someone writes a comment you don't agree with, just ignore it, fighting via YouTube proves nothing but the fact that you don't have the intelligence to be the better man and just leave them to there stupidity.

Also ALL the boxing HW belts are held by the Klitschko brothers, Toney holds none!... and Toney hasent been significant in boxing since 2003!!!! Also Toney was fighter of the year in 1991!!!!!!!!!!! 20 years ago!

Also... Randy has fought at 205 and Heavyweight... Toney is a natural 154-168 pounder... started his career at 154... 160... 168... 175... 200... and heavyweight... was very fat at 175!

@hustleboy62 Just saying: why would anyone want to take 500 blows to the head? MMA atleast gives you options..... look at muhammed ali, freddy roach, james toney and any number of fighters that have clearly been given lifelong brain damage from boxing. Personally I think its barbaric that boxing makes people get hit in the head and when they shouldnt really go on get up and get hit again. That fact that in mma someone gets knocked and finished then get to go home just means its more humane!

@apenton71 How much did he actually get payed though? Champion level boxers get a much better paycheck than mma fighters (apparently).

@TheLydianRocks why would he? the answer is simple. boxers make 100x what an MMA fighter earns. money talks. i find it hard to believe you are saying that boxing is for pussys. it is the most physical sport in the world (and yes, mma is a sport, not real fighting.) answer me this, how often do you see an MMA fighter taking over 500 blows to the head per fight?

@hustleboy62 why would he? gloves are for pussys in this day and age, no leg kicks? why? because boxers are scared of leg kicks? stepping into a ring where all you can do is throw punches and weave and shit is not testing your whole body to the max. Tony got beat in a fight where skill is more important than punching power and speed, couture is the weaker boxer, he won by utilizing skill in a more realistic way than saying "lets fight but we can only use our hands"

@roetimbo i think the main point that people are making is that mma is vs. a boxer in a street fight, the mma guy would win 9/10 times simply because it is a more realistic form of fighting.

wow, Ray mercer knocks out tim sylvia. who hasn't knocked out tim sylvia? Abe wagner, the FIRST fighter to lose on TUF 10, knocked out sylvia in 30 seconds. Randy is 47 and definitely not a top 5 HW or LHW, yet he absolutely dominates boxing HW belt holder. that's why people care about his win and NOT mercer's (but I do like ray, I hope he keeps working mma cause he has some huge power in that right hand)
