This is a female velvet spider. They make woolly web and that traps prey really well. The spider also has hooks at the end of it's legs, which helps it capture and hold down prey. Look how she grabs the roach even tighter when something tries to steal it away.

  • @BaileysShopofScales and @Mantidinsectworld My new cam is a Canon EOS 550D with Canon 60mm macro. I'm going to get the Kenko tubes and with that comes perhaps even more close-up stuff. I'm still happy with the 550D, really cool they have HD-video now.
