  • what does a journalist know about generating electricity and using energy resources? is he secretly an engineer? mr dyer's background is as a historian and knows just as much about the climate as algore and his carbon credit nonsense. the problem is the SUN not mankind. furthermore the climate models when run in reverse have the earth reaching absolute zero temperature about 1700 years ago.

  • I saw him speak earlier this year...seriously scary stuff. What's scarier is that technically we could fix this and yet no one seems to care enough about our existence to do so.

  • @baconified

You see, the problem here is that Gwynne Dyer is NOT a moron. Did you know that there is already an entire continent basically starving? And coincidentally the same continent that finds itself entirely in the tropics and subtropics, and therefore will be hit harder than the rest of the world with drought. When a continent dries out like this, rain no longer soaks into the ground, and crops that used to grow, no longer grow. Just saying.

  • Great article Well Done. Lets Push the new electric cars faster into the market.

  • A journalist pretending that food shortages will be due to AGW. MORON MORON MORON. If you check the Baltic Dry Index that shows the amount of dry goods tonnage shipped around the world in supermax ships etc. It peaked over 14,000 and bottomed out at 663 in mar 08 at the peak of the manmade credit crisis. Ships need a bill of lading and a note of credit which cheap credit assured but now that isn't so. An economic collapse can create a malthusian catastrophe, i'm sure they're planning it already.
