Well, the sketch was shown 7 years prior to its regular place in TV. When the time came, the NDR had the problem to need a short movie for "between" and they chose this sketch. Coincidence wants it that it was so well-liked that it is now shown about 13 times on that last day of the year, making it the record owner of "most repeated TV-production", since it had been repeated almost 250 times in these five decades.

Jedes Jahr, in Deutschland aber niemand auf der Insel hat eine Ahnung was "Dinner for one" ist... Ich hatte auch keine Ahnung bis ich eine Deutsche geheieratet ;-)
