So true: you are *so* correct. I weep when I see people like "Lady Gaga" get accolades. Individuals like her couldn't carry this guy's golf shoes. Simply amazing talent, this Legrand has.

The music of jazz pianists has always fascinated me and this chap's music is no exception to this "rule". Somebody mentioned "Gaga" in comparison! One cannot state the names of con artists such as "Gaga" (what a ridiculous handle that is - "Gaga"!) in one breath with a name like Legrand. If you're still performing Mr. Legrand, keep up the good work.

@Norwegian1 Correct, but console yourself that 50 years from now, they will study Legrand (truly the best composer of the past 30 years) and will study why anyone ever made a fuss over Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber.

These cats must have been jammin' in the green room to come out and play like this. I agree with Jukebox Tenor, a stellar jazz pianist, didn't realize it until this clip. They slide into that bossa nova rhythm and burn it UP. Would love to know the sidemen. If you're into sidemen, would also love to know who "Ray" the pianist is (and the percussionist for that matter) on Casey Abrams' great version of Nature Boy here on Youtube.
