All this are great comments, but just a little clarification on this particulare song " OLUWA " is actually " NAGO " the kind of YORUBA spoken in south of Benin Republic and is added a bit of " FON " I can clearly understand...Baba Oluwa, the one who gave me life, my spirit in heaven...it has nothing to do with religion but belief in spirit form.

It is true that Brazilians are slave descendants from Nigeria and some also went back to Nigeria because we have lots of Brazilian Names in Lagos with legitimate claims to Brazil. I am a Sierra Leonean slave descendant my grandfather went to live in Nigeria and Married my Effik grandmother, whilst my father married my Yoruba mother. Nigerians are Nomads they move around a lot and are very quick to make their destination their home but they always remember where they come from.

i dont know how true it is but i heard that some brazilians originated from nigeria during the slave trade era.i dont know how true it is but from the song i guess it is true......
