We wanted to survey the wide range of reactions to Sen. Barack Obama's speech on race, given March 18 in Philadelphia. I spoke to Jim Wallis, editor-in-chief of Sojourners; to columnist Debra Dickerson; and Jeff Greenfield, who is, of course, a member of the best political team in the galaxy.

From Obama’s speech in San Francisco:
"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," he said.
"And it's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,"

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
From Obama’s Dreams of My Father:
I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.'

1 /4 Obama’s Anti-American sentiment.
.
From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating> myself to whites.'
.
From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.'
.
From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

O my God, how desperately ignorant; "I am a black man, if I insult America, that does not matter, if I choose to lead America into a dead end, that does not matter", basicaly anything both ignorant and anything else... Obama is a confused joke and the media has turned into an even more desperate constant rewrite of oversensistupidity to make anything ignorant and insane to simply mean, OHH he's a Black Man... Well He isn't an American HE does not stand for America he is a Circus show Hireling

Alot of Americans would like to know exactly WHO is Obama and WHO is Hiliary? What is the definition of a President of the United States? What does it really mean to be President and what is the job of a President??? I was involved once in politics until I found out votes were bought, soooo does it really mean anything to vote or how many votes you can buy??? Does a person get to be elected if they get bought so many votes or does it really matter to punch a card? Who really wins?

This was a brilliant, history-making speech. He addresses the issues of REAL Americnas in this country, the unspoken race issues that people have been wanting to understand for a LONG TIME. REAL patriots and Americans who believe in unity and progress and can cut through all this rhetoric. God bless America.
