@paul92yt go control panel > network and sharing center > change advanced sharing settings >>>> under ``password protected sharing`` make sure *turn off password protection sharing* is ticked, also under ``turn on file and printer sharing`` , tick *turn on file and printer sharing*

How can I retrieve files from a vista user using windows 7? I can retrieve files from the windows 7 user but can';t seem to retrieve files from the vista user.

@MrToledoA try and do this on the vista machine also, I haven't try it since i never kept a vista os on my pc for more than 1 day, I think it should work
