Rehab by Amy Winehouse (Music Video Battle)

Sadly, but not surprisingly, Amy Winehouse has tragically died at a young age. So, I thought it fitting to post this very short video I did back in 2007 for a music video battle contest. The goal: Create a short video based on the song REHAB by Amy Winehouse. Originally, I wanted a couple women I knew to be in the video, but they weren't available at the time. With only a couple days left before the contest deadline, in a last minute ditch effort, I came up with an idea for an offbeat and somewhat disturbing video about a drunk who hallucinates. I asked a workmate, Nick if he would star in my video. After begging him to do it, he finally agreed. We set-up and filmed the video in a couple hours one night, and I quickly edited it just in time for the contest. Nick and the other two "actors" in the video did a great job with no rehearsal time at all. I just aimed the camera at them and told them what to do. Some of the best shots, like a giant pile of empty bottles, and some of the hallucinations, had to be edited out to meet the 60 seconds running time limit. Amazingly, the video snagged first place.
