Wonderful video.
I am very interested in ruins.

I've seen lots of graffiti in all-white neighborhoods, so I don't think race has anything to do with it. This building was probably clean because it was in a remote area.

you need to walk straight in back and away from the service station maybe 50 to hundred yards and poke around with a metal detector or a SHARPENED PIECE of heavy rebar.all old service stations like this would have a burn pit or A DUMP GARBAGE AREA BEHIND THE STATION THIS is where you can find som eold porcelain enamel signs oil bottles and stuff.

Dang!!! If I had the money to buy all the worthless buildings in this town and the JUNK that's in them, I would make a FORTUNE!!!

Funny how sometime back in time that was most likely busy as hell with business and now dead. Time can be a real killer eh.
what's a stove doing in an old gas station?

I've since found out this building was last used as a recreation center, which included serving food. I believe it closed around 1980.

Not enough people to keep it running I guess, like most small rural communities people eventually moved away.

I would take those fridges

I've considered getting permission to take the fridges, and then restore them for sale. But before I invest any time or money in something like that, I have to know somebody would be willing to buy them.
