i said how the events themselves were staged. for example, the Wall in the UK actually looked like the face of a cliff, while the US Wall was more like an indoor man-made fiberboard structure. hitting the target in assault the US just sends up a plume of smoke, the UK's Danger Zone has a fireworks explosion. music is played during the events in UK, no music in US. Do you see what i mean now by saying the events themselves were better staged? I don't mean how they played out, just how they looked
Wolf added a bit of light-hearted comedy which both the viewers at home and the people at the live show enjoyed, but I don't think its fair to say that the show was centred around crowd pleasing "side shows" but thats just my opinion lol!
You seem to be contradicting yourself a little here, you admitted that the UK version was better produced "as far as how the events were staged," then said that it wasn't as good as the U.S version, which is of course your entitled opinion. But you then wet on to say the thing you liked about the U.S version was the "contenders facing the Gladiators", as they do in the events, which you had just said were better in the UK version!!!!
it's true that the U.K. was better produced as far as how the events were staged, but overall, the American version was better in how each episode played out. the thing i don't like about the U.K. opposed to the American version is how it seemed to be more centered around entertaining the live audience with in-arena side shows (Wolf and his bad behavior) that really does not add anything to the broadcast. In the U.S., the show was about the contenders facing the Gladiators. Period. Nothing More.
