The only problem with HP printers is the ludicrous price of the cartridges!

For the 3200 series printer try this....
Press 4 buttons at the same time... (With your right hand)
Color, Black, Reset, and OK.
Now press the "OFF" button wait for the printer to shut off and then turn it back "ON"
When you print, the printer will put the expired cartridge message. Press ">" ignore the warning, and Press "OK"
Go ahead and print all you want....
You will have to start the process over when you unplug power from your printer.....

Falling asleep... so boring. Don't wait.. discharge the system by trying to turn it on while unplugged or short the battery terminals with something conductive.

All major brands have a insane markup on ink prices, This is where the make the majority of there money. In alot of cases they sell the printers at a loss (below production / shipping costs), and rely on the ink sells to make up for it.

My printer gave an "out of ink" error and refused to print. I searched for a solution and found this video. Just as I read the bit about disconnecting the battery the printer sprang into action and printed my page. Number 5 is alive!!
This may work on some models, but on the hp officejet 4215xi, the battery is soldered in. This may apply to other models as well. Beware before taking the time to disassemble.

Soldered in battery may be even easier. You just short the battery with a paper clip for no more than a few seconds.
