The neutral flame is the ideal flame for brazing and welding with the Oxygen Acetylene Torch. But, if the bronze rod is not flowing quite right, you may want to try a carbonizing flame.

    Most of what i do is very small work. I would lose dexterity if I wore gloves. Best advice is "if it is hot, don't pick it up". In over forty years of working with the torch I have only had one bad burn.

    Your question: "What do you recommend to new O/A users?" Can you be more specific?

    No hard copy is available. "Brazing Metal Sculpture. a beginners guide". This an eBook available at Amazon for $1.75.
