"Whispering Pines" was one of songs sung by Johnny Horton in the late 50s and early 60s. Johnny Horton was born as John Gale Horton in Los Angeles on 30-April-1925 and unfortunately, died in a car accident on 05-November-1960 at the age of 35. I should say he was one of the best country song crooners in the 60's.
Why must talented singers died so young?

I remember my dad and I leaving the woods with a load of wood on the truck sometimes we would drive as far as 200 miles and back the same day with a load of wood on the ole truck taking it to the mill for a little bit of money and we would have Jonny Horton on cassettee. We would listen to him and a bunch of other ones. Thank You for havin him on here it means a lot.
