I was so nervous, after weeks of my parents support I finally posted those forms. The day was here, either I was going to get 1 step closer to my dream or it would come crashing down on me. It was now or never, I didnt know what my future would hold, weather I would live for the next 10 years or even 1. So I have to work for my dream now because next year, I might not get the chance.
Ok, maybe I should start from the beginning. Ever since I was 8 years old Ive been fighting leukaemia, its been like a losing battle, as soon as I thought it was gone, BAM! It would come and take over my life again. But now things are looking up, it has been 6 months and everything is looking good, for now. All through chemo I sang, when I didnt have the energy to move, I just sang. Thats my dream, to share my music and todays judgement day I guess Todays the day of my American idol audition. They called out my number and my mom left go of my hand.
"Good luck sweetie" my mom called, my dad kissed my head I was taken to the entrance of the room where Ryan was stood, he talked to me, then it was time to go in, I took a deep breath and then slowly walked through the door, the judges were all set out in front of me, my breath caught in my throat. Sitting alongside the 3 judges was none other than Joe Jonas himself. Yes, Joseph Adam Jonas. 1 third of the teen sensation Jonas Brothers. I may have forgotten the tiny detail of how I'm a majorly obsessed fan. Also the song I was planning on singing, was in fact a song of theirs, the song that meant so much to me, the song that was named a little bit longer my brain finally realised it should tell the rest of my body to move and breath or I just stand here like a air head. I stood on the mark that was on the floor. They all greeted me. (Okay, lets say you have to be between 18-30 to enter)
"How old are you?"
"18"
"What are you gonna sing?" Simon asked
"I'm going to sing A little bit longer, by the Jonas brothers" my felt my cheeks flush I caught a quick glimpse of Joe who smiled as I said it. I cant believe I'm going to sing a Jonas brothers song in front of a Jonas! , Oh god if I ruin this sing its going to be so embarrassing
ok, I started singing, the song is so emotional to me, I could relate to it in so many ways, it described my never ending battle for life, the way Ive been living for the past 7 years. DAM! I wasnt going to cry, I wasnt! I felt tears build up in my eyes.
"All this time goes by, and still no reason why" as I was finishing the last note my voice cracked, I stopped. I blew it! A few more tears built up,
"dude, I think youre awesome, at 18 you have such a big voice Im so so impressed I loved it. Joe?" oh god here it goes,
"wow yeah, I agree and Nick is gonna be so jealous when he hears you sing that song better than him" I laughed and let out a breath
"You have such a beautiful voice" he carried on.
"You've got a big natural gift and when you were singing I got lost in you emotion" Kara commented
"The emotion in the song, it wasnt like you took somebody else song and emotion and tried to make it your own, but as it you wrote the song, and everything in there was true to you. I like you, alot... Randy, yes or no?"
"A million percent yes"
"Joe?"
"defiantly yes"
"Kara?"
"absolutely"
"Catlin, you got 4 yes'"
"welcome to Hollywood baby!"
Now it was the hard part
"Um, could I tell you something?"

"Um, I-I cant go th-through"
