  • can you still use the coil tap?

  • Yes. They sound great in single coil mode. Enough for me to say it's better than any of the PRS single coil tones I've tried.

  • @taesahn thanks for the info :) now to look for one

  • Check out a PRS Stella...They have this pickup standard. To me, they tend to have a brighter overall sound than the Mira...less 'round' in the mids, but you will have an idea of the pickup's character. Good hunting.

  • Hi, thanks for the review. In order to buy the guitar with the Starla pickups, do you have to go straight to the PRS factory? or is it possible to do it through a regular store like Guitar Center or Musician's friend?. Thanks for the info.

  • It's a factory guitar. I saw several with the Stellas in my area when I bought mine. I truly believe that someone at PRS recognized how great the pickup and combination are and started pushing them out into the public. I am still in love with it.

  • you play like a god :D

    NICE

  • How'd you get a Mira with Starla pickups?

  • Just to thank your for your review. I finally bought mine (after searching for a while in the States) in a music store in England!

Now my last question: I am a begginer-intermediate level student and I want to buy a tube amp (low to mid budget) that brings out the best from this guitar tone wise, which one would you recommend?

  • Hi taesahn, thanks for the info. Do you have the name of the store where you bought yours? I live in the New York area and I have not found any yet.
