  • Seems that if PARENTS spent an additional 30 mins. at home reading with their child, they might not need to be placed in Tier 2 to begin with. But what you see today is that the more the system does for students, the less involved parents become.

  • This video was informative about RTI. I liked seeing that the principle and teachers were involoved to get the students to success. They really seem very supportive of this program.

  • This video was informative and had a get breakdown of the RTI process. It gave a good description of how the program is implemented in their school. I like seeing the program in progress, I feel like I learn more watching these videos rather than reading about the program.

  • Great video. I like that fact that the teachers make it a priority to meet weekly to collaborate on how to meet the needs of their students. I think that this is very important.

  • This was a very informative video. I like how the teachers even admitted that they are learning from this program. The principal seems like she is very supportive of the teachers and the students needs.

  • The video explains that literacy is important to everyone at the school. Everyone works together to help the student. They all collaborate so all children are helped and doesn't slip through the crack. I love the collaboration model.

  • I like the statement, "Literacy in an elementary school is everybodies business." The teachers in the video explained the RTI process very thoroughly. Looking at this video one can have a clear picture of how a unique plan is created and implemented for a student.

  • The Response to Intervention method ensures that students' needs are met and they do not fall through the crack. By implementing this program early, struggling readers receive the support and resources they need to catch up, and be on grade level rather than getting farther behind.

  • This video talks about how parents need to be involved in the referral meeting. It also states that tier 1 is all teachers teaching all students .

  • This video explains the different ways to help students. The teachers in this video explain how they go about helping the students by meeting with other teacher or viewing their scores to determine where they should start the student in the intervention program. If the students are successful in tier 2 the student is ready to go on as scheduled or if not successful, the student goes to a smaller group setting in tier 3.
