  • @bormisha Thanks very much, I hope to find much more russian electronic music and your video link has helped me to find many more great tunes by Zodiac.

  • @bormisha Wow, that will keep me busy! Thanks for your help with opening up a whole new avenue of music :)

  • Wow 84...have one snippet on cassette from a radio moscow broadcast from many moons ago discussing childrens choirs in russian schools..the kids singing and energy is amazing..must upload it sometime..I loved tuning into and listening to radio moscow on MW late at night, back in the late 80s and early 90s..the world was a bigger place then.

  • @thom8406 Yeah tuning in to this at the age of 10 was really something... My dad bought me the radio cassette in Xmas 1983 and this brings back fond memories. The bedroom door was ajar and a yellowy-orange light from the landing lit the room slightly, I remember it that well!

That would be great if you could share that snippet on youtube, perhaps we're part of the 'magical radio memories brigade'? :D

  • @daveparry Oh yeah, and here is one more great soviet electronic rock tune:

    Yv2uzskTC0s

  • And the tune at the end of the video is: Пахмутова - Ритмы Времени. It's interesting that they used soviet electronic music in these broadcasts. Tried to show the best that they had. This kind of music nowadays is hard to find and hard to get. Most pieces were never released on CD, but on LP only.
