Why I'm Transitioning

Note: I have NOT BC'd yet. When you see my hair flat like this, it is slicked back into a bun.

Why I Decided to Transition:

* Got bored with getting relaxers
* Wanted to see what my natural texture looks like
* More styling versatility
* Natural hair is beautiful too and I wanna rock mine

- 14 weeks (3 months) post relaxer when I posted this vid.

what do you think about texturizers? I have been transitioning for like 4 months now but I still think about bone straight hair. Texturizer may be middle ground from what I'm hearing, but I haven't tried it.

@FromUTube2BigScreen Eh, texturizers are just weaker relaxers. i'm not interested in them but you must do what works best for your hair.

Good luck on your journey...The last time I had a perm was in Febuary. I'm not planning on perming it again, I'm done with it LOL. I'm not cutting my hair off though LOL! No way Jose` LOL.

OMG this is me but right now, i'm transitioning. my mom supports me but my dad is totally against me going natural, but i am soooo excited! and its so weird one of my black friends thinks it looks ugly and i didnt realize how part of the black community is so against it. but i'm not backing down cause i'm transitioning for the same reasons u mentioned and as i do more research i am more sure of my decision

Hey. i have a question..im gonna be in a wedding end of aug. i will be 9 months without relaxer....how do i slick my hair back liek that? should i straighten it out? just blow it out? just air dry it? then try to comb it together? my hair is transitioning

You are going to look beautiful natural!! I am transitioning too, but not from a relaxer...from heat. I though I was doing good by not doing a relaxer and the heat has taken away my natural curl pattern :-( I can't wait to see more of my hair to return to it's natural state...Will look foward to your BC!!

ur dad sounds great. My dad is totally against my natural hair. He's used to the relaxers and it makes me sick. My mom supports me though. she said it was my decision and if it made me happy thats all that matters. Ive been natural for about a year and still don't know exactly what to do to manage my hair. Im still learning but I think its cool.
