Aloha Jim,
What a great video! Reminds me of being in the cages with you! What a great trip. I went back this October, but it wasn't the same. The are no longer allowed to surface bait. There were more sharks for sure, and Mikes new 40' cage is awesome. The sharks are just swimming around now, no open mouth behavior. Oh well, still worth it. NOTHING IS LIKE BEING WITH THE GREAT WHITE! NOTHING!!!
Miss you,
HawaiianHarry

Great Video, it truly captures how beautiful the Great whites are!

Haha, I THOUGHT that sounded like Barefoot Man! I saw him perform live every night at the pool bar of the now-defunct Holiday Inn on Grand Cayman Island. It was Barefoot's old "permanent" gig there.
Nice use of the song for what looks like an awesome cage dive. Gotta try that sometime.

Size was hard for me to estimate. I had my head in video viewfinder most of the time to track shark. In general largest shark was noted by others at about 16 ft, 18 max. They were magnificent creatures and impressive just to be in their presence. They were certainly in charge of their environment, but I never felt threatened; maybe the cage?

This was taken off Guadalupe Island, 150 miles off the Baja in the Pacific. It is a Mexican marine National Park with entrance by permit, only; 5 charter boats have permits. 20 hrs by boat from Encinada. Cannot go ashore on the island. Cage "diving" only. Have fun in Cancun. Check out the Cenotes, can cave or cavern dive. If not cave certified, just do a cavern cenote where you can always see and get out the entrance. Also, consider taking a day trip to Cozumel area for diving.
