  • Since i have been natural my hair is no longer just hair. I feel like the process of becoming natural has been more about self acceptance than anything else. Realizing that beautiful isn't just smooth and straight, it's big and fluffy and nappy and wild and kinky and shiny and defined its whichever i choose that day but its all me i dont have to chemically straighten my hair to be beautiful. I love me alot better so this is not a phase

  • I love being natural. Going on 5 years. I don't think going natural is a fad. I think people are really getting a revelation on the health risks of chemically treating there hair not only risk to the hair but to thier body.

  • this is not a fad for me it is who i am finally made it :)

  • Love the video. I'm gonna do this natural thing, just gave up the flat iron as well. One year strong. And go ahead and sing that song girl.

  • Oh jeez i typed a whole long thing and it got deleted :(

Short answer: I love being natural, been natural for most of 25 yrs

Relaxed my hair at 19 yrs and regretted it immediately. Within 9 mnths i had worn it long and cut it in a very short style and then was on my way back to natural. I think having relaxed it, I now appreciate my natural hair even more :)

  • The Lord has truly blessed you with beautiful hair....thanks for the great info. I am a newby---just did my bc on September 1, 2010. I cannot wait until my hair looks like that. Please pray for me because this is a big change for me. I am so use to having very long hair. Nevertheless, I know that it will grow back fast....it usually does..keep the good videos coming....

  • OMG this style is too cute. I definitely be trying this out. As far as natural hair being another "fad", for me it isn't. I never say never but I do not see myself ever relaxing my hair again. But I do believe that for some other ladies it's whats "in". They are like "Well that;s different and I do want a change" so they go natural not really having a strong foundation and reasoning behind it besides the fact that it "looks cool"/

  • I have always had natural hair, but since cut off, of my locs, 2 weeks ago. Now I'm looking for a hair style. I really like the twist out and the curly styles, however how do you make the transition from locs to styling hair. I've had locs for 10 years. All I've been doing so far is conditioning and moisturizing my hair. Making sure it has lots of moisture. I need Help. Can you please tell me how to start.
