@TheButtascotchbro1Yes, show them WHY you have forsaken Me.....Read what happens next. The Temple is split in two from THE TOP down, giving direct access to God because of Jesus Christ. It was not a question, like He did not know. It was a statement. Christ knew why He was here and stated it over and over

Father let your will..not mine..take place..
What other fruits did Jesus have in mind that would identify genuine disciples? In what is commonly known as the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus started by saying: “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.” Jesus assigned priority self-sacrificing love, the desire to sanctify Jehovah’s name—Matthew 6:9, 10..”—John 17:14, 17; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

@nodoubt257 (Matthew 26:38-39) . . .Then he said to them: “My soul is deeply grieved, even to death. Stay here and keep on the watch with me.” 39 And going a little way forward, he fell upon his face, praying and saying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.. . .
showing that he and the father are two different people and that his father is greater then he..as you will not my will..

@nodoubt257 (1 Timothy 2:3-6) 3 This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4 whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all—[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times. . .
(Matthew 27:45-46) 45 From the sixth hour on a darkness fell over all the land, until the ninth hour. 46 About the ninth hour Jesus called out with a loud voice, saying: “E′li, E′li, la′ma sa·bach·tha′ni?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?. . .

So Christians learned to avoid what the apostle Paul said were “the Lacking that, and at the same time being blinded by the archdeceiver, Satan, those clinging to such knowledge could never hope to find the truth.—1 Corinthians 2:6-8, 14; 3:18-20; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 11:14; Revelation 12:9.

@TheButtascotchbro1 lol. He's not talking about Christians. Paul is the one who Christ used to reveal the mystery of the church and salvation to the gentiles through the death, burial, resurrection if Jesus Christ.
