  • Hare Krishna! I salute this devotee, who is so passionate to meet his maker. His passion to see hin is enviable, the Puri temple needs to take a step back and think of the impact their ignorance is having on Lord Jagannnath's Devotees. May better sense prevail. Radhe Radhe!

  • amritks,

This about the devotees of Krishna, and has absolutely nothing to do with where he is from. The devotee of Krishna must always be accepted into any temple, because the temple belongs to the devotee.

Who ever made this silly rule about not allowing foreigners needs to know they are absolutely wrong.

I am sure that with the help of some of the larger Hindu groups these rules will soon change. When Lord Krishnas devotee knocks the door, the door has to open! Hare Krishna!

  • While I am totally against discrimination on the basis of nationality at the Puri Jagannath Temple, I must state that there is no discrimination at Puri on the basis of caste. In fact certain rituals at the temple can only be carried out with the help of non-Brahmin, tribal origin servitors, called Daitas. The absence of caste distinctions has been an integral part of the cult of Jagannath which may be due to possible tribal or buddhist origins of Jagannath.

  • Any Hindu must not be discriminated to visit Hindu temples anywhere around the world. He is a great intellectual and whatever he is telling is truth. But my friend don't get disappointed if you were discriminated by someone, because Hinduism gives power to us to bear injustice.

  • Sorry for him and the foreigners. It is disgusting to not allowing people inside the temple.

  • Accepting Jagannath means what? accepting the rules and rituals of the temple which was decided by Sankaracharaya not the servitors.Let me remind again Jagannath temple is a place of worship not to experience.Mostly non Hindus enter to avail experience only without knowing rituals.so non Hindus should not dare to enter because previously Jagannath Temple has been looted seventeen times by these kind people and this type of history should not be repeated again.

  • not to mention he is more Aryan than the Brahmins anyway.

  • Well said, this is very true. Hindu heirachies need to fix their traditional mistakes and hypocracies or future Hindu generations will never forgive them as present Hindu generation is paying for our ancestors mistakes.

  • I am speechless after hearing this devotee, his anger is so pure. I love him and trust Lord Krishna must be loving him too !!! :)

    Hare Krishna !!!

  • I have heard this story long back, Someone has predicted this in past " One day a foreigner will come and will take Bagawant along with him" and thats why foreigners r not allowed there (I am not sure its tru or not ) .... Dont know about the lower cast people issue.

I think if Bhagawant has said "Everything will happen according to my direction" then why r we worried? Let all of them enter in the temple. When Bhagawant will decide to go from there who will be able to stop the Lord ??? ;) :D

  • @kishoriray

Yes, someone who can quote relevant scripture to justify one's actions is indeed worth meeting.

May this enlightened soul go back safely to Krishna.
