60 Minutes Interview Shows Futility of Afghanistan War

60 Minutes aired an interview this week with Captain John Hintz which highlights the futility of the Afghanistan War. Capt. Hintz explained that, 9 years into the war, "I have probably 300 square kilometers. And the vast majority is controlled by the Taliban," Hintz explained. "We push hard, we patrol heavy, we go out there but I would say probably 18 to 20 square kilometers is what I think I own."

@judgerofwars yeah the world already knows the usa can only win wars by using nuclear weapons , the usa can also alone win wars against poor 3th world country's ... You are not fighting the JUST the taliban.. to be correctly the Taliban are the smallest(but most active) group of fighters fighting against your occupation there are many other groups who are fighting you like Hezbi-islami , Jamiat-Islami , Sazman-I-Nasr , Haraket-I-Iqilabi-Islami etc etc but the reason your media doesnt tell you this is because they want you to think only taliban resists us occupation

Im glad the american soldiers themselfs are finally admitting the mujahideen's bravery is nothing compared to them .. Face it american soldiers are only brave in hollywood movies ... you strip every american soldier from his body armor and armoured vehicle and tell them you are gonna fight the mujahideen head on with only the same equipment as them they'll run back to there mommie's faster then you can say kentucky fried chicken .. just leave afghanistan u terrorist piggs and keep to hollywood
