Introducing the Briefly series. Taking theory and presenting it in it's most concise form.
We start with the Big Bang because the theory is important and amazing, but often misunderstood.
This video was produced without any funding from any outside sources. It was put together with donated creative time from a group with a desire to further public cognition of science.
Science has many amazing stories to tell, this is the first. The Big Bang Briefly.

Honestly, to believe this doesn't require faith.

And there is a lot of evidence for the Big Bang theory.

JP8940, you aren't a scientist I'm sure, if you were you wouldn't speak as if you knew this when you didn't.

Don't consider this an attack on your faith. It isn't. It's just a description of the Big Bang story. Please, if it interests you dont' rush to conclusion but let it propel you to further understanding.

There is no conflict between faith and knowledge.

um no sry, i'd rather be the leader of my own life rather than a 'jesus christ'. what you're saying doesn't make sense, either. humans invented time so how can they not understand their own invention? the bible has contradictions, too. believe it or not. it's not a proven theory but for right now, it's the best theory we have as for understanding (as a strong atheist). god isn't testable or observable either & breaks all the fundamental laws of science, too. why dont U research ur own bible?

Unfortunately, you have been indoctrinated about this theory. The thing is that it doesn't take a guru to understand the fact that the big bang doesn't make any sense. You cannot have a baby without a Pa or a Ma. To say that nothing comes from nothing is the same as saying a baby came by it self without no Pa or Ma. It's a purely religious theory due to the fact that you believe it to be true without any observations or tests. Study the assumptions of this religion you will be astonished.

God lives in a eternity. No brain on this earth can possibly understand this subject because we live in a world of time. The Big Bang theory contradicts it self in many ways to say that nothing came from nothing breaks all the laws of thermodynamics and science it self. Is not testable or observable and breaks all the fundamental laws of science. Please do your research on the assumptions of this theory you will be surprised. Is not to late to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.

Nothing cam from nothing. This is the dumbest fairy tell that the devil has ever created. His main goal is to lead us away from God so we may be in hell with him for eternity. Unfortunately, this theory has led many people to deny the existence of the true creature GOD, and remember Is not too late to accept Jesus as a savior. For he comes to thus that call him and helps those that seek understanding to gain wisdom.

she says "there were nothing .. but the potential to exist"!! .. oh really .. how does "the potential to exist" translates into science ?!

I must inform you all that God is the one who created the universe, whether it was through the Big Bang or him just speaking it into existence. The amount of energy required to make a universe is unobtainable by what we consider earthly means of thinking.
