  • Since few weeks I play a TFB750. What a fine and powerful amp. Big bottom, if necessary, punchy low-mids, singing mids, clear highs. I owned several big amps (EBS, Genz Benz etc). This one outperforms them all.

  • I've got a 550 and it kicks asses \m/

  • I own a TFB 750 and I'm going to add a 610 cabinet this year. Dave Funk is brilliant and this amp is better than anything out there. It doesn't matter what kind of axe you play, through this rig it will sound better than through anything else out there.

  • I would like to hear this one when someones playing more heavy bass lines on it.

  • What is one thing in these bassist have in common? They all have Bartolini electronics, I put some Barts in my Ibanez SR 605 and damn ,you wouldn't believe the difference. It sounds better than any bass I personally have played (A shit load)! point is he should have made the bassist use squiers and low end bass not Pedullas and Laklands. IMO

Want proof? Check out the clips of me playing a Roscoe LG3005 (Amazing Grace) and a Carvin SB5000 (slap riff) through my Thunderfunk. When compared to some other players on UT, I have no fantabulous skills. I simply can't play at that level. My chops are mediocre at best (even though I've been playing for many moons). But the amp still sounds good ..... in spite of my shortcomings.

All of the "great things" you've heard about this amp are true. I own one - and it's everything that it's advertised to be. As for hearing decent players ...... the video clip is selling the AMP ; so, the musical abilty (or lack of) of the players demonstrating it shouldn't be an issue. An good amp (along with a "reasonable" bass) will still sound good regardless.

  • @baronofbefoulment Hmmm. It's ok to sound "sure of one's self" if you can back it up. I own a Thunderfunk TFB-550 ; it's everything the hype claims it to be ... and THEN some!! I've been playing bass for 34+ years and have owned MANY amp brands - some of them high end. Out of that many years of playing, the Thunderfunk is the FIRST amp I've owned that I didn't want to sell. And no, I'm not a paid endorser ; I'm just a nobody that's extremely happy with a great sounding amp.

  • I'm curious about this amp, but how well does it create a somewhat old-school tone? Most of the samples I hear are of modern styles and are a bit too bright for my tastes.

  • I have heard great things about this amp. Now I would like to hear some decent players play through it.. ... I mean decent players.... like that use a real name!
