  • Thank you for this demonstration. It's hard to take solid fitness advice from someone who doesn't look in peak shape. By peak shape I mean BMI, low body fat. I am more impressed with fitness educators who are toned, with a 6pack and low body fat.

So I guess you are referring to me as not being in shape? As you know what I look like with a shirt off, etc? So you are saying that your definition of health is a 6 pack? You got some learning to do my friend! See ya!

  • Love the videos Josh! Most of your studio videos are very hard to hear though; far away and tunnel like, unless headphones are used thx! :)

  • @motlo

I know. I am working on it. Have not figured out how to get better volume, as the gym has such a high ceiling. But working on it!

    Dude, seriously?

  • I'm guessing that for someone who might have a bit of shoulder internal rotation, Voyer Shrugs would be a good option?

  • So would doing behind the back shrugs put more stress on the front of the traps?

  • my gyms DBs only go up to 95 lbs, and we don't have a trapbar at my gym. i regularly shrug in the mid 400's without straps. am i getting anything by doing barbell shrugs to the front of my body with a ballistic power shrug style? i keep an arch in my back, my torso is slightly inclined forward kind of similar to a yates row, and i use slight leg drive to get the weight up but i control on the negative. my goal is strength, power, and explosiveness, i could care less about hypertrophy.
