Love Never Dies: The Epic Rant- Part 2 (Cast)

The second rant (by That Girl in the Phantom Costume) on Andrew Lloyd Webbers continuation of the beloved musical and story, The Phantom of the Opera. This section focuses on the cast of the new show.

Most of the coverage is on the main cast (Ramin, Sierra, ect.). I did not include much information of the supporting characters (i.e. Gustave) because there wasnt enough time nor info to give a decent rant about said persons.

Oh, and forgive me for pronouncing Ramin AND Celia's names incorrectly. Ignorance isnt always so blissful.

@TGITPC: No, I wasn't talking about that. I was saying that what if they used Brightman, Crawford, and What's-His-Face (Raoul character 4 original play) etc in the movie, since everyone's bound to look older anyways. BTW, keep posting vids and rants, they r AWESOME!

@The1990phantom Well besides the fact that Steve Barton is deceased, I don't think that those three will ever be associated with LND, especially if it was a movie. If an offical movie is ever made, ALW would probably want to go the more Hollywood route like he did with the movie of the original.

@The1990phantom Personally no, mainly because I fear that they would use the same cast from the 2004 movie which I was not entirely fond of. I suppose it would be excited for those who actually like the show.

@TGITPC: I strongly disagree with your opinion of Gerard Butler. I think that he is handsome, a good singer, and gave the role of Erik its good name. (michael Crawford is better though.)

i have seen love never dies a few times and BEAUTY UNDERNEATH makes a lot more sense on stage. but i had watched your rants first and just kept thinking about what you had said! i actually laughed during 'please miss giry/chridtine's death' at the imortal words - we cant all be like christine - i just had to. and as much as i love it i agree it completly screws up the message of the original. ps - christine cheated, karma was gunna get her in the end anyway

@MusicSocksRocks are you referring to the phantom of manhatten book or the original phantom of the opera by leroux??? the original is amazing and brillant and the basis for all other phantom adaptations. A great book.

Whoa! What the heck is with the hate on gerard butler!? He played an EXCELLENT phantom. And Im just going on the ORIGINAL, not the stupid book. So you guys seriously gotta stop hating.

now that Gerry B has been mentioned, am I the only one who thinks that he's so ugly that the deformity kind of helped his apearance?

I have to agree with you on Ramin. His acting, his voice and his looks... Even if Erik isn't meant to be hot

And one more thing, why didn't we get John Barrowman as Raoul?

@XXphantomrose I don't doubt Mr. Butler's acting abilities but in my opinion he lacks the vocal capabilities to play such an iconic role.
