  • A wobble, the end result of pushing the voice, is evident. This is a Lyric Soprano that has

been forced into a Dramatic repertoire erroneously. A covered tone is not representative of the great singers of the Golden Era. Listen to MARJORIE LAWRENCE, MARGHERITA GRANDI

  • My chorus teacher was telling us about how her and patricia were friends in high school and she told us to look her up . I never thought she would be this good<3

  • @MsPhoneMonkey Te Kanawa the best Tosca....lol...lol

  • @MuscleDaddyCMH I agree. That's why Kiri TeKenawa is still the best for this aria. She starts out pianissimo and then builds.

  • why is she shouting at the beginning - it's piano! Everyone these days just sings at one level......save it. If it's well produced, the softest pianissimo carries.

  • Beautiful! =D Can't wait for this at the Met

  • She has enough vibrato to make the whole stage vibrate...

  • Jesus, would you look at that bust...

  • Wonderful video. Thank you. I have heard her last night live from radio broadcast Radio Bayern 4 Klassik: MET, 24th of April 2010 - together with Jonas Kaufmann and Bryan Terfel. It was splendid.

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!
