I think that's a different Snow White. There's a tale called Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and a different one called Snow White and Rose Red. We had both story books when I was a kid.

The original Snow White had fair hair and a white dress not like the Disney version. She also had a sister Rose Red with dark hair and a red dress!

Maybe they decided to change her design since they'd changed the story. Either that or they brought an element of Snow White and Rose Red into it, a tale in which Snow White had fair hair; although I doubt that since the two have no connection other than their name is the same in English and they both encounter a dwarf.
