Ramstein crash

Ramstein - Frecce Tricolori - This tragic airshow held August 28, 1988 on the military base at Ramstein (near Ramstein, Germany). 3 aircraft patrolling Italian (Frecce Tricolori) collided in the air (2 planes have collided at first, then one of them collided with a third). One of the jets crashed into the crowd, while the other two crashed near the runway. 67 spectators were killed (and three pilots), and hundreds more injured by the explosion.

My dad was stationed on the base when this happened, he was 18. He said it was the most gruesome thing he has ever saw. He saw a girl split in half, the dead burnt and mutilated bodies, when they put people on tables it sounded like a glop of wet paper towels being dropped. He had to clean up cause he was MP. He described the ground as "covered with melted chicken skin." He swears that its a cover up to. He says "no way 42 people were killed, they filled hangers with rows of bodies."

@ThaBenjaminBosses This even is actually my earliest memory. My family was stationed at Ramstein at this time, and we attended the airshow that day. My father is a retired F-16 pilot, so this event really hit close to home.

THE RED ARROWS HAVE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS IN THE WORLD.
