EKG Effect in After Effects (Heart Monitor)

So it's been some time since the last tutorial, but as I promised, one was bound to come in these two weeks.

It's nothing big and extensively spectacular, but definitely interesting and fun. And you can use it for quite a few different things.

@LeBearExtrordinare Of course, you just need to add enough points to draw your text. You're going to have to do it manually though, you can't just type it out. If you however add text you can use that as a guideline to place your points.

How do you get transparent background? In my AfterEffects, the black solid is standard when I create a new composition...

@ChrisseNisseUltimate It might be shown as black, but there shouldn't be a solid by default. There's this little button under the preview window showing a grid like thingamajig. Press it to toggle from back to transparent background.

If there really were a black solid in there by default you can just select it in the timeline and delete it.

i need the effect to create an e4 sting my idea was to have a heart effect move in the normal way then to flatline and the e4 logo come up, is this easy to do? is it simple to make? thanks
