If you want to cook more rice, stick your foot in the pan and fill up to your knee joint. For every 1 cup of rice you add 1 cup of water.

don't prewash the rise before cook... and when do you add the salt and oil or butter ?

I have a question. Very nice explanation, but how do you add the butter and the salt?
Should you add it while it's cooking or after? Because I heard it is supposed to be added WHILE it is cooking.

There is a reason we don't add butter and salt first (although you can). Butter and salt and stirring the rice (which breaks down the starches) all contribute to increased stickiness. Also, It is easy to add those later. But, most important, if your main dish comes out not-quite-right unseasoned rice can help overly salty or spicy dishes. Just like seasoning the rice can help get bland dishes back on track.

Can you still cook the rice without covering it with a lid cuz I don't have one.

You must have a lid or the rice will not cook. Try using another pan, pot, plate, or foil. Something that will fit snug.
