Lyrics:

Accidents happens about everyday
But that day special followed by a heat wave
Rush hour just began I ran for my life
I can't afford to miss the bus
Or I'll go and miss all the fuss
Cos this time it's a must
I'm gonna meet the boys and Suzy
I just can't miss her tonight
Tonight I'm so hot - Gee! I'm so hot
Well, is she tight
Is she in need of a lover like me?
Oh, there she is now!
I gotta go - and give her a great big kiss
And now that I'm in her I don't wanna lose her
These moments are takin' me to heaven
But they don't seem to take her anywhere at all
I wonder what went wrong
Please, tell me what went wrong!
Remember all them nites we wrote on the walls that "Punks never die!"
Hot love in the nights, the days we spent undrground
Accidents happens about everyday
But that day special 'cos Peter was taken a way and Suzy
She moved to another town
So here I'm all alone in the summer heat
Looking at this empty street
All here's left is writings on the walls
I wonder were all the 11th street kidz are today
Where have they all gone?

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the kind comments people have put on here. It means a lot. i hadnt listened to Hanoi for a while but every now and then I dip in again.

Great memories of going out on a Saturday night with Hanoi blaring out from the old tape deck in the car!!.Those were the days..Thanks Merryckha and hanoitwin. Means a lot..

  • @sfb211 And thanks to you for your kind comments too! I can only dream about 80's, but I believe it was awesome.

  • I saw Hanoi live in the early 80`s in Norfolk, at West Runton pavilion. Me and my mate Pete were about 18 and huge fans of the band..Brings back great memories and is even more poignant as Peter passed away aged 36 when he slipped into a diabetic coma. We grew up together and I miss him still..Keep rocking Pete wherever you are..

  • @sfb211 Oh my :( Hopefully he's rockin' in heaven right now.

  • @trix1567 yyah, every band got influence!! clash got it from reggae and bands like the who etc.. actually clash owes a lot of reggae, almost every song by them is based to the reggae beat!!

  • ahhh thisss song<3 just makes everthing just feel allright, like im laying on a cloud<3

  • clash influence

  • @throughapresstable Come again?

  • this band fucking blows

  • @Merryckha - the 80's were like any other time. they had their goods and their bads. one thing i can say about the 80's, which is true for 70's and 60's too, is that when there was a new music release, it was exciting on it's own merit and not because the media told you to be hyped about it. it was pure magic.

  • @GeronimouF hmmm, kuulostaa et ekassa ainakin ois "went". tokasta en oo varma, molemmat tuntuu käyvän siihen.

  • @Merryckha Mun korviin kuulostais siltä että Monroe laulaa

    "I wonder what went wrong

Please, tell me what went wrong!"

eli muutti verbiä ja aikamuotoa siinä kohtaa.
