Beast Wars was better than Beast Machines, and Beast Machines made some changes to some classic Beast Wars characters I didn't like.... but that doesn't mean Beast Machines was no good. It had plenty of good things about it.

@InvalidGesture Well, Cheetor does mature towards the end of the series. Silverbolt goes emo because he's ashamed of what a dick he was as Jetstorm (like being ashamed of being a drug-addict).

Beast Machines had some good attributes, mainly the ideological concepts and such (along with Jetstorm and Thrust, those guys are awesome).
But still, Beast Wars was better than this. They made the characters look stupid/ugly/weird, and...
Optimus turned into a pacifistic idiot (not because of his views, if you pay attention closely, he does some pretty stupid things). Cheetor turned into a wimp (watch the Fallout episode), Silverbolt grew stale, and Megatron became a germophobe.

Graphics here are better than those of Beast Wars.

Beast Machines was the worst. Beast Wars AND the original Transformers was the best.

A lot of people hated Beast Machines and I can understand why. Still though, it wasn't awful. I thought the the plot and the dark settings were really well done. If it was a show with a new set of characters, then it'd be pretty good. The only problem is that it continues the Beast Wars story and takes a complete 180 degree turn. They changed the characters' personas, which is understandable, but they changed them just to fit the plot. Rattrap is an example. They made him weak when he was not.

Interesting series; very dark and different. Not the best but I found it a captivating watch. The opening is awesome though!
