Onboard footage from the Ferrari F355 at Fuji track.

And again the beautiful foot cam footage paying special attention at both the double clutching and the heel-toe downshifting techniques.

Amazing sound!

  • @DThaeman Yeah! That's not necessary though It's really nice...

  • The "fancy footwork" is essential to fast driving! If he didn't heel-toe downshift, he probably wouldn't get around the first corner.

  • Someday, i will own a F-SAN-GO-GO Berlinetta =)

  • My God, some people are really stupid, thinking Kurosawa San is making Heel and Toe for show......have you ever drive on a track??? By driving, I mean driving fast.....not just accelerate in the straights! And do you know what happens when you don't use this footwork? Either you're very slow, or you lock your wheels, and this can damage a lot more than tyres.....

  • my god, the v6 in the nsx, now that's how a v6 is supposed to sound. what's the difference in weight between the one in this vid and say a 91 coupe (no t tops)

  • @nickeroo I might try it again in a car that offers some leg room. Hell i might even try it in a semi next time.

  • @6V92TA Just practice, ideally on a straight road when no one else is around, you just need to break as usual but blip the throttle with your heal or the side of your foot as you depress the clutch to shift down. Its just to bring the engine speed up to (or closer to) the speed of the gear box for a smoother shift down. Just don't try it for the first time in a corner or dangerous situation, practice the technique safely, when you've got it nailed try it before you enter a corner. :)

  • To the guy about having a size 15 shoe... I have a size 15 also. I am 6'7" and drive an Nsx and evo 8. I can EASILY heel toe downshift all day long. Try using the side of your foot instead of the heel. Use the largeness to your advantage. And stop being a wimp and try it. It helps your driving tremendously. Not just fancy foot work...

  • Sure, why not. I'm always willing to learn something new. Maybe there really is something I don't know about the heel-toe shifting. You are talking about heel-toe right?

  • I'll be at Laguna Seca this spring if you would like a proper demonstration
