I could not agree with you anymore. It is too bad that far too many people have lost the part of themselves that would have them do anything toward living happily. I feel in large part there has been a successful reprogramming of the definition of happy, or enjoy. It probably looks something like this-

I guess I'm bit of an anarchist as I feel we should do work we enjoy however I do like some of the useless things in life.

@TheCurmudgen I do suppose some uselessness is good to "buffer out" parts of life; but we are only here for a short time, we gotta remember that, and so much the need to use our creative and emotional potential to the fullest.

Work just sucks . The exploits of our labor is taken away by the company we work for and our debtors such as the the landlords , the mortgage banks , taxes for the state , local and federal governments , and other honorable folks .

Well... maybe when we have enough anarchists eager to get out there to the oil fields and continue the production of oil and gas until a legit alternate fuel source becomes available so ambulances and firetrucks can continue to working, I might be sold on the idea.
