On the news:

The Chinese government generously has given this facility as a gift to Africa and the African Union.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi revealed that he had lobbied Chinese officials to build the new headquarters, donated land adjacent to the old AU campus, and exempted taxes on all imported construction materials.

i dont think we africans should be fooled. the chinese just need the oil. they have to deal with us for the oil but when it all comes down to our interests and theirs they will gladly be an enemy to us. watch them good and observe them. we have to stop glorifying and trusting others more than we glorify and trust ourselves. what say you?
