Nice wind turbine & I like the 5-blade configuration: should perform well in low winds but if you live in a strong wind zone, then 3 blades will serve you better.

yup, get it in the air and take a coupl of blades off. it might not start as well but you don't get anything very at low rpm anyway. rpm, rpm, rpm, hum softly to yourslf while you repeat this, it is the mantra of wind power

@mrkenickie1 chopped a heavy duty castor up and welded it upside down to the top of the pole and the horizontal steel that the wind turbine sits on..

30 and 37 seconds are when it's going full tilt, just my crappy camera couldn't quite keep up with the rpm..
