Boston band "Harry and the Potters" perform "Save Ginny Weasley From Dean Thomas" at their concert/party for Harry's 25th birthday, at the main San Francisco library on 7/31/2005. This was shortly after the release of (and based on material from) "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", so you get some good completely-new-to-the-audience reaction to the song going on. p.s. the little guy dancing on their right is my son Arthur.

Here is a picture of Arthur with the band after the show http://flickr.com/photos/tachyon/347935644/in/set-72157594463238989/

And here is a picture of Harry's birthday cakes at the show http://flickr.com/photos/tachyon/347913172/in/set-72157594463238989/

  • Is that... SNAPE in front of you?! ( gasp ) lolz

  • We all were absolutely surprised that HP7 Part 2 is already leaked. We all enjoyed the entire thing via watchharrypotter. us

  • that was cool!! :)

  • It's because they don't have drums. It's a kind of acoustic show.

  • they actually encouraged us to sing along, get up and dance, and scream. They threw balloons into the audience and told us to go nuts. And I think people three buildings over could hear the band. It was their five year anniversary since their first concert ever. And they came into the audience and danced with us and asked us to sing along.

  • I hate it when they do that you can't see or hear the band and it further prooves that people are dumb.

  • cool

  • paul said on pottercast that they wrote this the night hbp came out so this was a very new song at that point, but i dont think joe had his sax on tour which is why this was way chiller than normal. i saw these guys in june and i would reccomend their shows to anyone whose the least bit interested. it was probably like the most ive ever smiled in an hour.

  • They're so mellow compared to their regular state.

  • Possibly because it was still a new song at the time..they might have been too focused on playing it right to have their regular crazy stage.
