This is some sort of larvae or pupae that I keep finding in my yard when digging up sod. Most of them are a little lighter and redder than this. Soon after posting this, I found a similar video with the answer to my question. Apparently, they are moth pupae.

  • It's a moth pupae. I can't remember what kind, but I had one in a jar for over a week and the adult emerged.
