A quote that has been passed down through the generations... like many quotes, it has holes.

The Onision site: http://onision.com

When I speak of equality in this video, I am speaking of capabilities. What we are and are not capable of doing.

  • I think Onision confused equality with similarity, while it is true that some people are better than others at certain things the concept behind the saying "all men are created equal" lies within a person's worth not their talents. I like to think of it as "all people are different but equal"; however, Onision does have a point regarding the self-serving nature of today's society, but that's a different topic.

  • All men are created equal.

  • Explain downs syndrome

  • You're missing the point, World.

All mortals are created equal. But they all evolve very differently, or receive many priviledges that others do not.

Equal creation doesn't mean Equal Life or Evolution. It doesn't mean "no priviledges" at all, for anyone. It just means originally you were "more similar".

If any of you complainers would have been in their situation, you would gladly welcome being a rich idiot who gets away scott free, for many crimes.

You only hate priviledges "of others".

  • @Irregulation They have more rights, only Denser.

Midgets have Denser Rights. But just as many.

  • The thought that we are all born equal is mysticism in it's purest form.

Nature doesn't do equal, between individual humans or between races, yet we're content in separating ourselves from nature even though we've seen the devastation that thinking has caused to our earth and thus to ourselves.

Look at the differences between race at the Olympics, jumping and sprinting as opposed to wrestling and weight lifting.

  • That comment/question that was sent to onision is exactally how i see it. Take, for instance, the song "This Afternoon" by Nickelback, they sing about smoking weed and not doing anything for a whole day. They are the classic example of the "rock and roll" life. Drugs, sex, rock and roll. Do they get arrested for smoking pot before a show? No. Do i get arrested for smoking pot on my property, in my house, away from people, yes. PS i have never been arrested for anything. That was just an example.

  • the point of this saying is that we are all created equally deserving of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What you do with those is an individual thing and therefore the result is not going to be "equal."

  • life is just unfair

  • yeah, but you gotta treat them equal

  • We are only equal in opportunity afforded and rights. NATURE has made us different and diverse in different races and ethnicities and Nature's law trumps man's declaration of equality.
