Pressing the hold switch "bypasses" the command "pad off." This means even when the finger leaves the touch screen, the controller will continue to send the pad message.

The rotary encoder changes the program on the device connected (sends program change messages).

The use of a sustainer greatly enhances the capabilities of the MIDI Screen, mainly because there is no need to release the screen to pick.

Many opportunities are opened with the use of a MIDI Screen, for example, tapping in two different places allows "pitch jumping" with the whammy, which is impossible with a treadle. You can see this at 1:45
-I also use the dive bomb feature as a killswitch - 3:46 (hold switch has to be off)

besides the guitar octave effects, would i be able to do most of these effects with just the kp2 unit itself

@musefan75 You could do all of these with the KP2. The octave effects on the Whammy can be controlled by a standalone KP2 via MIDI.

hey, what did you use for preset 68, I think matt used it at reading 2011 for SMBH,

Does the pad just take the sound from the pickups or do you have to plug it in, if it use the guitars sound at all, thanks

i have a kaoss pad and a diitech rp 255 but i cant get te sounds of the kaoss pad like you how do you do that?
