Clarendon Hills is a small community in Chicago's western suburbs, adjacent to its better-known neighbor, Hinsdale.
In this first part of our introduction to Clarendon Hills you'll meet Mike McCurry, hear a bit of the village's history, and learn why people choose to live in Hinsdale or Clarendon Hills in lieu of the North Shore suburbs. Mike is an agent with Coldwell Banker and a 20-year resident of Clarendon Hills.
In later segments we drive around Clarendon Hills talking about homes, schools and more, and pause for a look at a home in Hinsdale that Mike considers a "screaming deal" at a price of $1,830,000. And, since Mike played pro ball with the Minnesota Vikings in the 80s, we'll touch on the subject of Hinsdale Central's football team.

Clarendon Hills/Hinsdale/Western Springs is a lot quicker on the Metra than our neck of the woods Wilmette/Winnetka/Glencoe. I was actually surprised when I found that it actually takes about half the time. Driving is a bit of a different story, they don't have the option to take Sheridan/Lake Shore if there is a backup on the expressways.
