im in the RFS and i was there for 2weeks seen the bad and the good and to all you that say fuck you and move on for the RFS man and women that where there its hard i was on the crew with andrew the fire fighter that died soo pls have a heart

great video- it shows the emotion of everybody and how bad the bush fires really were. when im older im gonna join the c.f.A. get on that truck and do whatever i can and all i can.

Thanks Nixxsy, its a great montage and a good reminder of why we do what we do. Its hard to watch, even still, but it puts things into perspective. Its not about flashing lights and all of that, its about trying to make a terrible situation less bad. Trying to make sure that no person has to go through that again, or at least being there for them when they do

@nicko2444 Mate, at risk of sounding like a recruiter, I have to say that it will be the best thing you ever do. There are times that break your heart, but there are times when you get to be there, to make a terrible situation better and the friends you make in the service are the best friends you will ever have. We all talk about being there for your mates, but I can say with certainty that I have mates that have saved my life and I theirs.

our childs school held a fundraiser for the victims of this day, i gave about $50 , and when i was leaving to go and put my baby down for a sleep at home, there were two mothers there, i asked them if they were going to donate, they asked what for?, i told them to help the victims of black saturday, and they laughed (WTF) , AND SAID ' OH I THOUGHT THAT WAS LAST WEEK!!!! it was two days after the fires....... they are no longer my friends. HOW CAN SOMEBODY LAUGH ABOUT IT?????? unbelievable.
