Domingo Troyanos in Concert Part 1a Tu qui Santuzza Beggining

Tatiana Troyanos and Placido Domingo sing the first section of the Duet Tu qui Santuzza from Mascagni's Cavaleria Rusticana.

Santuzza has figured out that her boyfriend Turiddu is sleeping around with his ex girlfriend. Problem is that the ex has a new hubby that she took when she was unwilling to wait for Turiddu to come back from the army.

Santuzza is having a jealousy fit when guess who shows up all fresh and smelling like roses. You guessed it, the little slut herself, who feigns not even knowing what is going on. She bulls her way out of the conversation and tells everyone that she is going to church to pray...

James Levine conducts the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra; Isola Jones joins as Lola, the other woman in Turiddu's affections.
