iTP EOS A3 1xAAA on medium power vs Maglite 3D vs MiniMag 2xAA vs Solitaire 1xAAA head to head beam shot time lapse video.

The 3/4 ounce iTP EOS A3 Upgrade edition (1xAAA battery) is a $20 keychain light which, for the average user, can potentially replace all three of these Maglites in terms of brightness and run time, while dangling unnoticed from a keychain until it's needed.

On high mode (see video annotations and the following link for comparison), this light is brighter than a 3D cell Maglite and will run for ~ 1 hour.

On medium mode it provides more usable light at short distances than the 3D cell because of it's wide and clean spill beam.

  • You used different batteries in all of the flashlights! This is the most retarded test ever!

Also, no wonder the 3D Cell Mag died first. Sunbeam batteries are pure shit! Use new Duracell batteries in all the flashlights and redo the test.

  • @counterclockwise123 Why don't you redo the test since I'm clearly so incompetent.

I got similar results in another test using Duracell alkaline D-cells, but yes the Sunbeam cells are cheap for a reason.

The EOS A3 and Solitaire do use the same NiMH batteries, and the 2xAA light uses the AA equivalent of those NiMH.

  • Congratulations, the best video about flashlights I have ever seen!, new fan subscriber

  • I love these videos! Really gives a great comparison. Keep doing more!

  • 0:23 MagLite 3D VICTORY haha

  • Ho care if he used different batteries? It's only 5-10 minutes+/- and he used quality rechargable batteries in the Solitaire, MiniMag and iTP. Alkaline D batteries are standard, so ho cares?

Love your video, but could you do a video when you put the iTP A3 in High? :)

Looking forward for more flashlight videoes, just ordered 11 iTP A3 and some Zebralight H51's and H31's. Fantastic
