The dangers of identity theft are well-publicized. We've all been warned to shred our documents, be on the lookout for fishing scams and check our credit report regularly.
But there is a new potential threat to our identity lurking in warehouses across the country. We're talking about copy machines.
"Copy machines today are just like computers," explained Boston security expert Robert Siciliano. "They have hard drives and can store data that can be extracted."

Now that we know they store digital information...may be we can use them as scanners and get digital data on things we copied.... are there any peripherals for USB/ flash disks to connect.... that would be good too, get your copies, get your digital data and erase from memory

I think portection is a matter of who what where and when. I became a whistleblower and was ordered to see a shrink (their choice) (no problem). However this clown showed up and gave them all including stuff THEY told him to say. PRIVACY? BIG JOKE! I tried to get a copy of his file on me. NO DICE. I Contacted the license bureau. TOO BAD Stupid. Courts/States are crooked. Watch out and fight back.
